I am proud to announce that ewoman, Inc. is celebrating its 22nd anniversary! As we begin our 23rd fiscal year from today, March 1st, 2022, I would like to congratulate my team on their great teamwork. They've worked passionately to expand our main business, diversity management, and to promote the Diversity Index and the International Conference for Women in Business.
We have come a long way. When I started ewoman in 2000, diversity was not a major concept in the business world. My proclamation back then that corporations would be required to be transparent on the internet, and would need to communicate with both investors and consumers with integrity, did not get traction with journalists or with the business world. When I said that ewoman would be a hub community for smart consumers who closely watch companies' sustainability efforts and who care about corporate culture when making purchase decisions, it didn't resonate with them.
Now, finally, ESG, diversity, and SDGs are the hottest themes and core strategies in business today. Our purpose is now understood and we’re as committed as ever. We are newly introducing Diversity Management Initiatives for corporations in March. The Diversity Index launches its 5th edition in November and The 27th International Conference for Women in Business will be held online on Sunday, July 10th.
I am deeply grateful for your warm support, and for not only applauding but also joining the Diversity Index, the Diversity Management Initiatives, and the ICWB so that we move society forward. We are lifted by your enthusiasm and will continue to move forward together with you all.
